We are now conscious that nature and environment, and of course the Earth, are our most precious goods. Best Western Plus Executive Hotel and Suites is adopting a policy which foresees a series of activities for the search towards safeguarding the surrounding environment.
We have implemented systems for the supply of shower water with lower water consumption and with the same comfort as before. We're improving the internal lightning system, aiming at low-energy lights and led illumination also in many rooms, to the purpose of reducing consumption. We will also implement recycling bins; we use recycled paper for the notebook in the rooms and we have adhered to the "Cartesio" project for several years for paper recycling. In our offices we recycle and we use paper again for our files.
We realise that maybe this is only one drop in the ocean, but we are sure it is a value we are all equally sensitive to. Furthermore, please allow us to bring to your attention what the potential contribution for the environment's safeguarding could be.
For example:
- Verifying that all lights are off before leaving the room, we have electricity sockets which are signalled in red, as they're always active.
- Making sure that windows are closed when the heating or air conditioning system is working.
- Not leaving the taps on in the bathroom unnecessarily, and making sure that the they are always closed properly.
- Using the bin provided in the bathroom correctly, avoiding any foreign items falling in the toilet.
We hope that these interventions are appreciated and shared by all of our Guests.
100% Smoke free
Best Western Plus Executive Hotel and Suites got active in offering their guests a smoke free environment throughout our hotel. The choice was made in 2006, just before the Winter Olympics. The "smoke free policy" has been highly appreciated by our clientele (including the smokers) therefore, the Hotel makes a daily effort to keep the environment smoke-free and ecologically friendly.
We have dedicated some special areas, outside rooms and communal areas, to the smoking guests.
Sensitivity and collaboration by every guest, together with communication by our reception will make the maids' job easier in order to guarantee a room free from smoking odours for the next guests.
